Super Smash Brothers Braw

Saturday at midnight Super Smash Brothers Brawl was release for the Wii. Its considered one of the best fighting game on any system. I played the first one on the 64 but never bought it. I bought the second one Melee and played the hell out of it. I have to say that it is one of the most addicting fighting games I have every played. There's so much to unlock and do in the game that it's worth every penny.

So I was going to go with a friend at midnight Saturday night to pick up the game. A side note, I didn't follow the game at all or know anything about it. The only thing I did know is that Solid Snake was in it and that it scored a 9.5 on IGN. Like I was saying, suppose to go get it at midnight but ended up going by Wal Mart around 10. I randomly ask the guy working there if they had the game in which he replied not till tomorrow morning at 6. I didn't mind the answer and knew that I was going at midnight. I walked over to look at games behind the glass display case when the employee I just talked to told me that he would go in the back and get it for me and try to ring it up. Sure enough, he came out with 2 boxes of the game and sold me a copy :D. He knew he wasn't suppose to till midnight but it was really awesome of him that he did. I felt bad though for a kid who just left before he brought them out who was looking for the game. The kid had been to Best Buy, Circuit City, and Target already. I went home and spent part of my night playing the game into the ground.

I spent Sunday playing it all day unlocking stuff and getting everything I could out of the game. I am happy to say that I unlocked Solid Snake tonight :) The game is incredible and the best on the Wii.

Here's some pictures of the game for those who are interested. I'll also add one video.

My first blog entry iPhone

iPhone

So i'm and bored and have decided to try out this whole blog thing. I've never done one before because i'm not big on writing. For my first blog entry I think i'll talk about the iPhone.

When it first came out last June I thought it was an amazing piece of technology. Apple took such a simple idea of the touch screen which has been around for so long and implemented it into the iPhone. The iPhone is a phone and iPod rolled into one. Sometimes I like to think of it as a mini Mac. It can do just about everything a Mac does except for a few things which I can't think of off the top of my head. Anyways, it came out last year at a price of $500 and $600 with a 4 and 8gb model. The price was absolutely insane and you'd think no one would spend that much for it. However, as you can see in this pic, price isn't an issue for a lot of people. Here's a picture of people waiting outside for the iPhone in New York

The iPhone was a huge success and sold like hot cakes. I tried it out for the first time a week after it came out. I was blown away at just how cool of a phone it was. I spent about 20 minutes messing around with it. Actually when I got to the Apple store to try it out, I had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes just to hold it in my hands because everyone was crowded around the tables using it. Once I tried it out I definitely knew I wanted it but would never get it based on the price. I think after about 2 or 3 months later Apple held an event to announce some new products of theirs. So they announce the following: an 8gb iPod touch, 8gb iPhone only for $400, a new smalled ipod nano, and the 80gb and 160gb ipod classic. I actually purchased a 80gb classic to replace my iPod photo. Its definitely a great iPod and i've definitely gotten my money's worth. So back to the iPhone! so the iPhone was dropped to $400 and only available as an 8gb model. This definitely upset a lot of customers in which Apple had to fix which they did. They gave every customer who bought one at launch a $100 store credit. It was definitely an smart and nice move on Apple's part.

It is now almost a year later since the iPhone's release and it is still selling like crazy. After so long of never expecting myself to spend so much for a phone or to purchase the iPhone, I will be doing so today. My mom and brother purchased one and i've had personal time to really use it and see what it can do and I really feel like I will be getting my money's worth. I'm so excited and will be using it to its full advantage.

Last week on March 6th Apple announced the SDK, a developer kit for making applications for the iPhone. The creation and wait for applications for the iPhone has been dragging on for quite a while. This June Apple will release an update 2.0 for the iPhone and a huge list of applications to get for the iPhone. It's pretty exciting and im curious to see what will be done. I have considered the idea of jail breaking the iPhone which would allow one to put applications now on the iPhone. I in no way condone this or will do this! I have just seen information about it and have watched videos.

I think thats pretty much it for now on my rant of the iPhone. I'll be writing my next blog on Super Smash Brothers Brawl :)
